Does Fable hold up?

If you’re a completionist, no. It gets REALLY boring. If you want that style of combat, you’re better off playing Kingdoms of Amalur, which is a much longer and deeper game. Fable is okay, but it’s a linear and fairly short game.

Is Fable 2 worth playing?

The music and storytelling of Fable II is totally worth playing for. But it has a lot of cool mechanics you don’t experience all together in a lot of other games, too.

Get the anniversary, it’s fantastic. I probably play this game at least once every year. It’s great and still holds up very well. From what I heard anniversary had a bunch of issues back when it came out.

Does Fable 3 hold up?

Played last month again and it definitely holds up. Best in the series, IMO. Fable 3 is meh… I mean it’s prettier, and has a nice kind of steampunk vibe, but there are so many problems with the story, pacing, combat and overall design.
